Acupuncture is a part of Traditional Chinese medicine. Traditional Chinese medicine practitioners believe our bodies have more than 2,000 acupuncture points connected by an energy flow (Qi) throughout the whole body and our overall health is maintained by the energy flow. Disruption of the energy flow can cause disease. Applying acupuncture to certain points improves the energy flow and thus improves health.
